A Tiamulin-based granulated premix for swine

TIAMVET® 100 is a granulated feed premix containing tiamulin hydrogen fumarate (semi-synthetic antibiotic of the diterpene group).

 

Tiamulin is a bacteriostatic antibiotic with activity mainly against Gram positive, anaerobic bacteria and Mycoplasma. It strongly binds the 50s sub-unit of bacterial ribosomes, inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell proteins, resulting in the break of the peptide chain and in the blockage of the proteins synthesis necessary to the sensitive microrganisms.
