Ceva Philippines proudly participated as a Patron Sponsor in the 31st National Hog Convention and Trade Exhibits held from March 27-29 in Pasay City. This event marked a significant milestone for the swine industry, with key discussions and initiatives aimed at revitalizing the sector.

During opening day, Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. challenged the swine industry to produce an additional 2 million hogs annually to restore the pig population to pre-African Swine Fever (ASF) levels by 2028. He highlighted the potential rollout of an ASF vaccine this year and financial support from the proposed Animal Industry Development and Competitiveness Act, which includes a P4 billion fund for the swine industry's recovery. Two large commercial hog producers have committed to producing a total of 1 million additional heads starting next year.

Ceva Philippines played a pivotal role in the convention by being an exhibitor and hosting a seminar titled "Boost Your Profits: Mastering APP Management for Heavier, High-Value Pigs" on Day 2. The presentation was done by Dr. Preben Mortensen, Swine Global Technical Manager from Ceva France, who shared valuable insights on optimizing pig management for better profitability with Coglapix.

The convention was well attended, and Ceva Philippines' booth saw active discussions focused on product promotions for DUO Ready To Mix Circovac+Hyogen, Coglapix, and Forceris. These interactions highlighted the innovative solutions Ceva offers to enhance swine health and productivity.
